According to weather.com, Juneau gets 58.33 inches of precipitation a year. It doesn't sound like a lot - but it is. Most of this fall as rain but after living here for a winter I can tell you that there are hundreds of different types of wet stuff that can fall to the ground. For example today it misted, rained, poured, and faked me into putting on my sunglasses and going on a hike only to rain some more.
April, supposedly our least rainy month, consisted of the worst types of precipitation. It snowed, it rained, and it did this thing where it would look like HUGE snowflakes falling from the sky but when the snowflakes hit you they splashed and were really really wet. Not sure what you'd call them but the English language doesn't do it justice.
